Heating Chamber

Ray-Tech Infrared’s heating chambers are engineered for unmatched performance. Each chamber features a unique welded-ribbon style converter paired with 24V or 115V blower motors (depending on the model), enabling operating temperatures that average 1,875°F—over 400°F hotter than our closest competition.

At these temperatures, the infrared rays are absorbed by the asphalt surface much more quickly, resulting in faster heating times, more repairs per day, and greater cost efficiency. With Ray-Tech technology, achieving a full-depth, even heat (with absolutely no cold spots) typically takes just 6–8 minutes—a level of speed and consistency no other machine in the industry has matched.

Joint Heating

Ray-Tech joint heating units are available in multiple sizes and configurations, all designed to deliver lasting benefits to paving and asphalt repair projects:

Thermal Bonding – By matching the temperatures on both sides of a seam, our heaters fuse longitudinal joints into a strong, thermally bonded surface that resists water and dirt infiltration—significantly extending pavement life.
Increased Density – Heating the joint during paving makes the previously laid mat pliable again. When the adjoining mat is compacted, density at the joint increases dramatically. Depending on the number of heaters used, tests have shown 95–100% joint density.
Versatile Applications – Ideal for virtually any paving or repair job, joint heaters are not only designed for new paving projects but are also effective for bonding existing seams in parking lots, roadways, and airports. They can even be used to repair linear cracks on asphalt surfaces.
